Flare XC is the new addition to our Flare family of ropes. The key difference is the texture of the handle knurling which is smoother than the original Flare, but the most important difference is the cylinder cable swivel head that holds the cable. The cylinder makes it easier to thread the cable through while maintaining the speed and performance.
The head of the handles are topped with internal bushing system which is very durable and offers great amount of spin and feedback from the cable. Unlike the Flare Pro model which comes with bearing system, this rope feels slightly differently when in use, but it doesn't take anything away from its performance and durability.
Cylinder swivel system in the head of the handle ensures there is no torque buildup in the handle allowing for a free cable spin without any extra force required unlike other rope systems on the market.
Our coated cables are perfect fit for this rope with flexibility and durability in mind.
There are 3 cable types we offer - Bare, PVC Coated and Nylon Coated.
Bare cable is the lightest and fastest cable. It is recommended for use on non-abrasive surface. This cable option is great for speed and competitions, however, due to its nature, it does wear out quicker than other options.
PVC Coated comes as a standard option for those who choose any colour option for the cable. This is the most user friendly cable as it is very flexible and boats well for beginners to advanced athletes. It doesn't kink and can last a long time if used on non abrasive surfaces.
Nylon Pro coated cable has almost the speed and lightness of bare cable, but it is also protected with nylon coating. Unlike PCV, nylon is fray resistant and can withstand harsher surfaces. It isn't as flexible as PVC, however, it offers great speed and feedback from the spin.
