Cable Options

There are 3 cable types we offer - Bare, PVC Coated and Nylon Coated.

Bare cable is the lightest and fastest cable. It is recommended for use on non-abrasive surface. This cable option is great for speed and competitions, however, due to its nature, it does wear out quicker than other options.

PVC Coated comes as a standard option for those who choose any colour option for the cable. This is the most user friendly cable as it is very flexible and boats well for beginners to advanced athletes. It doesn't kink and can last a long time if used on non abrasive surfaces.

Nylon Pro coated cable has almost the speed and lightness of bare cable, but it is also protected with nylon coating. Unlike PCV, nylon is fray resistant and can withstand harsher surfaces. It isn't as flexible as PVC, however, it offers great speed and feedback from the spin. To learn more click here - NYLON PRO

There a few factors to consider when deciding which cable option is best for you. If speed is your top priority, and you're an efficient athlete who trains indoors on rubber flooring, and you don't mind changing a cable a little more frequently, then the bare cable is perfect for you. However, if durability and versatility are your top priorities, and you'd prefer a longer span between cable replacements, then the coated cable is probably a better option. Also, while either option will accommodate any skill level, beginners often prefer the feedback that the coated cable provides for learning timing and rhythm, as well as the durability it offers to withstand the learning process. Whichever cable you decide on, both styles are easy to replace and can be found right here on our site in a variety of colors!
